  24. I am having a problem setting up my modem in Kermit 95.  I would
  25. appreciate any help.  Here's the deal:  I have Win 95, Kermit 95 1.1.12,
  26. and a SupraExpress 288 external modem.

  28. I am trying to dial a Xyplex terminal server to gain access to a Unix
  29. machine.  If I use the kermit dialer (with regular or tapi device), I
  30. connect and everything looks good, but about 15-20 seconds into the
  31. session the carrier drops.  The problem seems to be that the Xyplex
  32. machine only works at 9600.  If I change the baud rate to 9600 in
  33. kermit, I get no response from the modem, but if I leave it at 28800 or
  34. higher, I get the carrier drop problem.

  36. One last thing, when I connect directly to the modem and manually dial,
  37. everything is OK.  (And all other sites I call are OK using the dialer).
